Yarra is one of the largest rivers in southern Australia, running from
the Dandenong mountains to Melbourne. Although known
here as a wine growing region, it is better
known in
Australia for it's lush and fertile valleys,national parks and gum tree
forests. We use the name because it's the owner's favourite place |

We a small business dedicated to high quality bespoke carpentry
installations in the Cambridge area. With a background in
cabinet-making, we are accustomed to fine work and detail, whether
building cabinets, decks, or home alterations

Who owns it?
The business is owned and managed by Steve Bird, a
cabinet-maker with a broad experience in design, carpentry and
construction.
How big are you?
We're a small business with 3 staff, a van and a workshop.
How do you
operate?
We're primarily mobile-based. We have everything we need with us
on-site and can respond to most problems that emerge without having to
leave the site.
Do you do it all yourselves?
We do all the design &
carpentry ourselves, as well as managing every job through to
completion. We frequently pass other work to our established
sub-contractors: electricians, plasterers, plumbers, structural
engineers, etc., as and when required.

How are you different from other builders?
We're primarily cabinet-makers. We put a lot of thought and
effort into both the function and
aesthetics of all our installations. We take time over getting the
design right in the initial stages, then build it without compromise in
the details.
Why we do a good job
We're craftsmen, and gain satisfaction
from doing a good job. It's good
business sense too - it's not cost effective to do a job twice because
the first time was unsatisfactory. And with the cost of marketing
these days it's cheaper to have happy customers who recommend us
than to keep chasing after new ones.
Are you legit?
We carry full
Public and Employers liability Insurance. All
tradesman we use are fully qualified and experienced in their
respective
trades and are CSCS Certified.
